I am building a computer from the ground up, and didnt know what mobo to use. I want an amd 2500 athlon and wondered what the best board would be, a RELIABLE, EASY to use board. any suggestions???

Ok if ur getting a AMD bord I would go ASUS i wanted a asus but coudnt find 1 But also i found out that AOpen is really good if ur building a gaming machine get a nForce chipset best for amd gamming if u cant find the nForce 2 get a Kt400 i think Kt600 is for gamming 2 I dont really know much abiout kt600 but member Asus is the best 2nd is Aopen :-D

which asus board should it be, i was looking at the a7n8x, but a lot of people use the deluxe version. what would be the benefits of using the deluxe board?

I personally would look to the ABIT NF7-S 2.0, but if you're an absolute ASUS freak, go for the A7N8X instead. If you prefer VIA over NVIDIA, look for the ABIT KV7 or the ASUS A7V600.

MCP-T Southbridge on the Deluxe, as opposed to the MCP on the regular, which can be broken down into the following areas of which the Deluxe has that the regular doesn't:

- Support for 3D Dolby Digital 5.1 surround audio
- 2nd 3COM LAN controller
- Serial ATA/RAID controller
- Firewire serial bus

an excellent asus board is the a7n8x-E deluxe. it is an amazing board with all the features of the a7n8x-deluxe plus gigabit NIC. it offer superior performance:

if you want a budget nforce2 board with integrated video the M7NCG PRO is a great deal.

for a budget gaming computer with no integrated video the M7NCD PRO is a good choice. for video i would get at least a fx5600 or ati 9600.
