I thought G.Skill was shutting down? Newegg was also out of G.Skill RAM and now theres a crapload more of it? Whats goin on?

there's a link to their 'news page' that tells about the TCC5s incase you thought I was BS'ing :p

I see I left out one important thing that basically charles hit on....it seems they are only putting the TCC5s in their platinum modules, so yeah charles was right in the other high end series of theres, they obviously still use TCCDs

the GBGH are good for a64 systems as they do ddr510 most of the time and always use 2-2-2-5 timing but the 4800FF are the best for massive cpu oc's as they can run the highest frequencies
Only thing I can find regarding 'GBGH' is this:

G.SKILL PC3200(DDR400 1T) (2-2-2-5 1T), (F1-3200BWU2-512MBGH/1GBGH) --chip--> Winbond UTT ~ Brainpower PCB

Those will only do DDR510 at 2-2-2-5 providing you give them a decent amount of voltage like all BH-5 and UTT chips do.

Oh yeah, I know I've posted this before, it may even be in one of the guides but:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=50010

theres a list of RAM and what chips and PCB's they are using...it's fairly up to date and has quite a bit of info

Because the pc3200 set is 1GB and the pc4800 set is only 512mb and people would rather have 1gb over 512mb in total ram......
wtf are you guys talking about?? They are both 2x512MB......and the DDR600 is cheaper than the DDR400 by $6.00......only difference is the timings. see for yourself,

DDR400

DDR600

am I missing something.......

The DDR400 sticks are built on better PCBs and are capable of achieving better speed/latency ratios

What I mean is that the LAs will most likely be able to run at DDR600 speeds with timings better than the actual DDR600 sticks...just read the first review from the LAs...328MHz FSB, that's DDR656 right there

that ddr400 is rated at 2-2-2-5 1t and also tight timings pc4400 so its more versitile

and yea that gbgh takes like 3.4 to get 510 and 3.6 to get 530 so u will want a fan on them
