My sister needs help. I know we can probably all say
that about our siblings but this time there is no pun intended.

Somehow she has something called SPYSPOTTER on her
computer (A HP DESK PC) and it is hanging up everything.
She is currently running Windows XP Home Edition and I know
she hasn't cleaned out the computer or done a registry clean
up in a long time.
Everything is extrememly slow in down loading (or times
out and doesn't load at all) and she can barely get on the
Internet.

I sent her a couple of spyware cleaners but this SPYSPOTTER
won't even allow her to download any help!!

What can she do?

I am her liasion and will help her do whatever you tell us,

Thank you for any of your kind assistance!

Mazz

Try deleting this from control panel, or else, go to task manager to temporarily shut it down, and try it again.
Otherwise (If you can), Reformat.

Post a hijack this log.

Go to start, run, type msconfig, go to startup, click disable all reboot

I have to telll my sister over the phone
what to do and I need help explaining to her.
She is a newbie at this....can you explain
it in easier steps?
Thanks so much

step by step

start-run-type msconfig-click ok
Now the msconfig startup utlity will come up
Go to the last tab which is startup
Now click disable all
and reboot
