Motherboard Advice Needed

hey all. i've been struggling financially to build the best computer i can afford. my stats are in my sig. anyhow, i got these awesome OCZ Platinum Rev 2s that i can't really use to their full potential because of 2 things: 1. i have a socket 754 processor so my mobo doesn't support dual channel memory and 2. my motherboard only gives 2.7volts of electricity to my memory so i can only BARELY overclock the memory (which extreme overclocking was the whole point of this memory in the first place!). I really can't afford the $300+ that it would cost to buy a whole new motherboard AND processor but i found a motherboard that might help me out and i was hoping someone could give me their thoughts on it. Do you think this motherboard is a good idea to buy or not? Should I just hold off until I get the whole $300 chunk of money? If I should hold off, what motherboard should i get?

and a 3700+ san diego like 269 dollars or a venice 3200+ which is 190 dollars

I agree. Those are 2 amazing motherboards.

You can buy an OCZ DDR booster for about 50 bucks, which acts as a volt mod so to speak

Just shove it in a spare DIMM slot and you can increase vdimm to 3.9v...which is more than enough for anything...I wouldn't recommend using the booster with a cheapo motherboard though
