Psu Blew Out?

brady, when the graphic failed, did the whole pc blow out or did the screen just go black?

I had a MX440 and somehow the fan warped, so when i would boot it up it would start making a grunting noise, then the fan would stop. Took me a while to figure out what it was. i never heard of it happening before. Same thing, different card, happened to a client of mine.

Well honestly b/c i wasn't there at that particular time when it blew I wouldn't be able to answer that correctly ... However from what they said, It made a noise and then shut off, however when you powered it on, you could hear case fans, psu, and beeps.

speaking of noises,

the first puter I ever built, three weeks after I built it, the CPU fan went out, making a weird *noise*

Jay, I would definetly start with the PSU. Maybe you can test one before buying one.

lmao oh yes first pc i built... the cpu fan broke and my amd 64 3000+ burnt out! didnt make a noise though lol
