yeah, once i get the rest of my parts, that's what my set-up is going to be like. I'm going to run Windows XP Pro as a primary OS. when Vista Beta2 comes out i'll partition my Raptor and put Vista on one partition. i can't wait.

idk i'll let you know when i get two. haha i'm running XP home on this POS. but on startup i have a custom login so it askes me which OS to boot up

1) Windows XP Home (bootscreen)
2) Windows XP Home

that's how it'll boot up with windows xp and vista. i'm also thinking about putting a third partition and installing linux onto that. i mean 74GB is a lot for OS's only.

haha i'm not on the computer in my signature don't worry. i'm in the process of building that one right now.

haha it might be awhile but i'll definatly post a thread when its all finished. i had a minor issue with the case but i had to send it back and they just got it today so it may be awhile untill i get it back. right now i only have my mobo, soundcard, OS HDD, and i need the case. i still need to order PSU, CPU retail, Other hDD, monitor, RAM, Mouse, Keyboard. :D

this rig will definatly qualify for an ultimate gaming PC

OK guys sorry to revive this topic but my friend has just given me a second quote based on what's bene said here, and this is it. Problem is, the price is way over my $3500 (AU) budget. Any suggestions?

Here

- Drop the CPU to X2 3800+
- DDR2 ram dosnt work on AMD atm so DDR will be fine also 2x1GB is better then 4x512.
- No need for a 10000RPM HD, just get a 7200 with NCQ
- Dose ur monitor really need to be 19"
- $200 PSU?

also if ur still struggling to get to ur budget.. buy 1 6800 now and 1 later
