Upgrading Video Card

<thread hijack> Speaking of a PCI FX5500, can anyone throw out what kind of games this card is capable of playing? My lady only has a 4x slot for her video card. I was wondering if the FX 5500 would match up to most video cards running in 4x mode.

everest could be wrong, that used to happen to me. but lookls like your stuck with a PCI card lol. i think you should just buy a whole new computer

If everest is wrong then why is the fan going on?

I bought this comp last year so I don't want to buy another.

To see if your computer has an AGP slot, the easiest way is to take off the side panel, and then look at the slots in your motherboard. If your computer has an AGP slot, then the top slot on your motherboard will be a different size then the 3-4 slots below it.

in addition to the previous post, for even more obvious ways to tell, most of your slots are going to be white in color. Those are PCI slots. The one between the white slots and the processor is your video card slot. If there's not one, you have no AGP slot. If there is, you have an AGP slot.
