Would this DVD Burner be a good buy. I dont want that Buffer underrun to occur.
-What does it takes for that error to occur?

i have a preference for pioneer, but if you buy anything at local stores you should be able to exchange it within 30 days. no shipping hassles.

Looks like the website rates it prety goodly. I've never had an issue with Liteon and the price seems to be right. those mail in rebates...ill never understand them, You dont see them in England, well, when I used to live there anyways...

That's my burner!!! I LOVE it! Good price too, mine was about 20 cheaper, but you'll never get the deal I did. It was the day after thanksgiving. Go for it!

a much better choice is the NEC 2500a. It sells for US $117 at newegg.com and burns at 8x. I have the 1300a which i just sold and it was great. 8x media is still to high but with it coming out the 4x will be dirt cheap. This is a dual format burner and i have had noproblems with NEC. You dont have to worry about the buffer underun with any of todays dvd burners.
