I have a gateway 400VTX laptop. Today I left the computer open and when I returned the screen was almost blank. When I turned off the computer and back on, the screen is still almost blank. By almost blank I mean that I have to put the computer in a certain position to be able to actually see the screen.
What can be the possible reason for this problem? I tried to search through google and in this forum but didn't know how to define the problem.
If it is a hardware problem, is it likely that it can be fixed with a reasonable cost?
Finally, if I attach the computer to an external screen, is there any troubleshooting procedure that I can go through?
