Just curious, how come no one recommends ASUS? I have loved them for a long time, but no one here seems to be a big fan. Have they fallen out of favor in the last 5 years since I bought my last one?

And FWIW, I would save money on the Pioneer DVD (mentioned in the original post) and go with the latest LiteOn, they have great products at lower prices. I'd go for a 7800GT, then when you get more money, get another one. It just makes sense

yeah the GT is a pretty sick card, my friend gets 180FPS in source.... its sick as hell.

unlock the 4 additional pipliens in the GT

that too. but you have to get a copy of the GTX BIOs. copy the BIOs from the GTX, backup the ones from the GT incase something could go wrong. and there you have 24 PixelPipelines.
