i will get this new card....how many days will i have to wait? and most importantly, whats the cost??

also, what about my mobo question?

Just curious, how come no one recommends ASUS? I have loved them for a long time, but no one here seems to be a big fan. Have they fallen out of favor in the last 5 years since I bought my last one?

I like their new one, http://usa.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3&l2=15&l3=0&model=744&modelmenu=1 . In fact, I was thinking of pairing it with their 7800 GTX TOP video card, http://usa.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=2&l2=6&l3=0&model=589&modelmenu=1 .

Of course, the MOBO is so new that Newegg doesn't have it listed yet.

What think ye about these two products in a nice gaming rig?

And FWIW, I would save money on the Pioneer DVD (mentioned in the original post) and go with the latest LiteOn, they have great products at lower prices. As many of you know, Sony DVD players are just LiteOn rebadged. Here's one for $36 shipped: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827106982

Or, my personal favorite, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827106990 for $41 shipped. All the bells & whistles.

i dont really know, but lots of people on these forums say they are great for P4 but really buggy for AMD.

that too. but you have to get a copy of the GTX BIOs. copy the BIOs from the GTX, backup the ones from the GT incase something could go wrong. and there you have 24 PixelPipelines.
