Timmy is setting up a home network, all his hardware is setup right, hes plugged into the switch, his cable says it's connected in windows, he can access "workgroup" but he doesn't see any of the computers there (assuming the other computers are powered on and can see all but timmy's computer)

question: what does timmy need to check before his network will work.

good pt...didnt think about adding that info, sry guys...uh...it wasnt the answer im lookin for so i'll wait and see if anyone else can get it.

All the computers will need to be on the same workgroup, with printer and file sharing enabled.

if he dost not have a router he will also need to manually set the ip addresses.

Timmy Notices his CPU fan is making excessive noise, and his CPU temps are fine. What can timmy do to reduce the fan speed?

EDIT: i changed that question.. bit to hard for thoses people who dont even know what a router is. sorry nitestick ... answer was turn off DHCP Server
