Need driver information

Ok, i'm at a friends house and he has a Radeon 9000 card. Ineed to know if these drivers: https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=293 are going to improve performance. He wants to play Halflife 2.

That looks like the drivers. It won't increase performance enough to tell. The 9000 isn't a powerful card and you will still get heavy lag.

he will still be able to run HL 2 on low setting smoothly, HL 2 was designed to support a wide range of cards.
