256 color mode

How do I set my computer to 256 color, because when I go to my settings it only shows 16 and 32 bit.

install the latest drivers for you video card. I assume you recently reinstalled windows.

I did not reinstall Windows, and I have the latest drivers for my card.

check device manager and see what video adapter it is using.

wth do you need 256 color setting for? Gezzz goto display propertys, then advanced, then adapter, then list all modes, scroll the list and pick whatever suits your fancy and double click on it, then hit apply...... and then pull the trigger

he probably wants 256 colour for compatability issues. some programs/games will only work in lower colour depths.

If a game requires 256 color mode then highlight and press delete.
