I'm trying to install SP2, but whenever I start the installer, it goes really slowly and stops at "creating cabinets" The computer doesnt freeze, but the installer doesnt make any progress. Any ideas why this would happen?
Hmm..thats odd. How long have you let it set? What are you PC specs? SP2 takes a LONG time on older computers (1GHZ and below).
I would delete all temp files and try again and see what it does. Delete c:\documents and settings\%user%\local settings\temp, c:\windows\temp and for shits and giggle all your IE temp crap.
