ok, im selling my laptop. it has winxp pro on it, and 2 partitions.

what is the best way to "empty" the hd, so the next guy has to install os again?

Run FDISK from a bootable floppy. Then delete both partitions and create a new one.

the problem is that i dont have disk drive on the pc.
but i do have my winxp cd, is there a option in there to format\low level`?

Format

If u have a Win 98/SE CD, u can use that to boot into DOS. From there, (while still under the cd's directory) type: format c:

Replace C with the drive letter of which u wish to erase. This will completely erase the entire disk. If u do not have a Windows 98/SE CD, then u may have to create a bootable CD, or at least find one. Good luck.
