Sorry for the double post --

I've heard my MOBO isn't very good.

Is there another LGA775 Mobo with SLI support in the same price range that's better?

Gaming primarily...

As for not going AMD:

- I've heard several people say Hyper-Threading>Hyper-Transport

- AMD Mobos do not support DDR2 RAM

Most gamers will say the AMD are the best for games and as far as i know Hyper-Threading and Hyper-Transport arnt related to each other.

AMD don't support DDR2 because the high speeds from DDR2 arnt needed and also DDR2 memory has high latency which impacts on the high speeds. DDR is cheaper anyway.

If your rig is for gaming, go AMD not intel, intels are good office applications and the such but not for gaming.

Another AMD supporter here. Those things you are saying have hidden parts that in reality damper the potential of the items. The AMD structure doesn't NEED DDR2, because the PC 3200 does it justice. The AMD setups are superior gaming rigs, at a better price.

I agree about the Hyper Threading, Hyper Transport thing. They aren't the same thing, at all...

Get AMD for gaming......As for the Hyper Threading and Hyper Transport thing, yes they are very different. Hyper Threading revolves around using multiple cpu threads, which I have heard is overhyped for single core processers. Hyper Transport is a bus technology that increases the bus size of your system by a good ammount. Correct?

So which is better for gaming, Hyper-Threading or Hyper-Transport.

It also seems like mobos that support DDR2 will last longer in terms of upgradability.. Am I wrong in thinking this?

Hyper threading and hyper transfer arent comparable past the fact they have hyper in them. Its like comparing two diff stats in diff areas.
