Is there a firmware upgrade for this dvd-rw

Samsung TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H542A


It's not reading like it used to...

if anyone can find one (I can't) please post a link to the download

EDIT: I've been to the manufacturers site and couldn't find it...:confused:

how can I tell what firmware I have?

the drive is over a year old now...

EDIT: It downloaded as a bin file? what do I do with that?

burn it to a disk?
 
I had TS01?!?!

what now?

EDIT: ops... I had a disk in the drive, but I removed it... then I was able to run the thing... but after it had finished it asked me to restart windows... I did, and now it wont turn on...

what should I do?
 
Here is what I have to work with now...

when I boot up my computer it won't turn on...

but it does show up in device manager

and now in this flash utility it says that the firmware version is BOOT...

it used to be TS01...

any suggestions
 
I downloaded the newest one, but had the same problem, so I will now try the one I had... I'll get back to ya in a while...

after this I say ok...

then windows reboots, and it still won't turn on, and if I go into the sfd thing it will still say boot ans the *old version
