Damn, I use one in my computer. I bought it cause it was cheap, and cause my old PSU wasn't ATX2.0. Let's hope it won't die.

well my 2nd puter is 1.4 ghz T-bird, 640Mg pc-133 and GF2 Ti 200. 40gb+18gb hdds. and didn't cost me a dime. now i should just figure what to do with it btw it can be fun to dive around in an electronic waste recycling container

Yeah, they still use the 4-in-1 install drivers. Everyone complains about VIA chipsets, but I dont have a problem with them. But thats because I'm an Intel guy, and AMD is obviously the best... Because everyone says so, right? But the 4-in-1 installs ARE flaky as all hell.

i have a Maxtor 120gb and a Seagate 80gb. I like Seagates because they are quiet and fast, and i like my Maxtor because its fast (but noisy). My next computer will be 100% Seagates.

Um. My Maxtor drive is pretty quiet.

It's not purely silent, but it's not like a POS rice burner redlining his big bad 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine with a 7 inch can on the back.

Maybe my definition of silence is a bit different.

Um. My Maxtor drive is pretty quiet.

Well so is mine, but the noisy thing is the reading (compared to a seagate).

SMART says the drive is fine, and it has been noisy ever since i got it.
