I have been surfing the Net for golf lessons over the past few weeks, in preparation for this summer. However, lately, I've realized that everytime I start my computer, there are golf links attached to my Favourites folder on my start menu. Although I repeatedly delete these folders, but it comes up every single time I start the computer. I figured maybe the problem lies in the startup tasks, but I found no programs that deserve any suspect to be the culprit.

I consulted my friend, and he told me that this was something similar to what porn sites use. They alter something in your computer (forgive me for the non-computer language), and it stays on the computer until you find it and delete it. He didn't offer me any solutions, and therefore I had to resolve in other methods.

Please help! Thank you.

seems to be spywares in ur comp that create a link in ur favorite folder. what i suggest is to use spybot or adware that u can DL. they're free. then run and delete all spywares. once you delete spy delete the folders in ur favorite.
and you'll have peace.
good luck ! ;)

Hi,

Thanks for you all for helping to begin with. I'm running on a Windows 98, Second Edition. I don't think there are any other information that I can think would be important in this matter, but if there is, please do message me

John

did you try running one of the anti-spyware i previously indicated ? let u know that spybot or adawre support win95, 98, NT, XP, 2K... so there's no pb for that.
i'm saying that a solution to ur pb. but i'm 90% sure that would be.
