Need help on who is better for the money and any suggestions.

Total Assessment: Both overpriced

you could save a ton of money if you ask around here and have people help you shop for parts unless you don't know how to put one together then I guess there goes that idea

I don't have time to build at this time. Seem to find after many hours of researching widowpc and alienware no direct comparisons. Although both are very pricey if I stay around 1,500 I can afford it. Just need a few point of views since putting some money into this :)

IMO those are a total rip, I would be building those systems for half the price, sell them and than make a profit.

Check out a few local stores, as well as monarchcomputers.com

for 1500 they give u 512MB of RAM, and a 9550SE/9600XT? Thats absurd. do NOT buy these computers. If ur not gonna build it urself, go for monarch.

For 1500...if i was gonna buildit personally

AMD Athlon X2 3800
1-2 gigs of RAM
GeForce 6800 GT

ANd thats just for starters

the general has good deals on PCs :)

i dunno ... it usually takes me evening to build a PC ... so you should just build it. its not that hard or time consuming.

i agree with everyone here on build it yourself but if you must dont go alienware there have been many complaints about there customer service.i dont know about widowpc though.

build one there put the hd to the 160 gb seagate
take out the flash reader
upgrade to the 3200+
price $1,581.29

Pros
it is a socket 939 compared to the others
better gfx card
zalman cooler
no preloaded crap read here

better product support they dont outsource, anyone doing product support must spend a certain amount of time building systems.thus some one who does not speak indian and knows what the hell they are talking about

also great warrenty 1st year free shipping bothways of the computer.

Cons
it is prebuild u could do better making one yourself
