No picture on screen - help !

Please can someone help me. When I turn on my pc it fires up ok but there is no picture on my screen.

I have tried another screen but the same thing happens, I have changed the graphics card - nothing.

I have even changed the hard drive from another pc - still the same problem.

Please can some shine any light on this problem ?

How do you know it's turning on? Is the hard drive spinning up or just mobo lights and fans?

Thanks for your reply. I can hear the fan and the lights but not sure about the hard drive ... although I have tried another hard drive which I know to be working and I still had the same problem.

Is your monitor light coming on ?
Does the machine beep at you at all ?
When did this happen ?
Was anything changed prior to this issue ? ex: applications/hardware ?

To answer your questions:

Yes the monitor light comes on green but then turns orange and flashes.

The machine does not beep at me at all.

Nothing was changed prior to this problem, I just went to turn on the pc as usual ... I had not installed any hardware or software.

Yes I have tried another 2 monitors just to be sure.

If you're not hearing a beep, perhaps something wrong with your bios? Try resetting it.

I am afraid I have no idea how to reset the bios .... I am not a tech head

I think you should take your battery outa of your motherboard, and hold it for 10 seconds, and turn on your computer again. Are you sure that your memory works fine, and your psu.
