multiplier is 26

hey i read the ocing guide and it says that the multiplyer was around 9-13. myn is 26. wondering why that is.

ps: i just overclocked for the first time w00t.

that is not much of an o/c thats a .03 increase

Because your 100FSB X 26 = 2.6 ghz.

A celeron I have is 100 X 24 = 2.4ghz

yea i know but i was wondering why my FSB was 100 and some1 elses was 200. does it make any difference. and i know that was a small over clock hence the'w00t', but now ive got 2.8Ghz.

it's because of the chip you're using......celerons aren't exactly your screaming CPUs...they have low cache, low number crunching ability, low FSBs

Someone with 200 obviously has a better or more up to date CPU

should i be overclocking from 2.6 to 2.8 then if my CPU is older?
