Front usb problems

Hello i bought a new computer but the problem is the front usb port or head phone jack wont work. How could i fix this its a biostar mobo. Also when i try to burn a dvd in my khypermedia dvdrw burner it says it cant find the disk yet it burns regular cd'r's perfect. any help please

for the front USB, you need to plug a few connector inside the motherboard same goes to the front audio connector. However, I must warn you that if you choose to use front audio connector, you will not be able to use the back audio.

check your motherboard guide books.

for the dvdrw, probably is your media. try another brand.

Well, Front Panel and back panel audio toggle with each other. If you insert your headphones into the front panel, your speakers connected to the back panel audio output will be muted. It is completely logical and convenient. The only problem arrives when you use a sound card instead of the onboard audio, because then you cannot use the front panel audio connectors, they just would not work and sound cards do not have front panel connectors on them.
