Anthlon xp 64

I heard the rumors, that this processor, gets hot alot. Is that true or not. I want to buy this processor, and i'm not sure if its a good processor.

All processors get hot. Install an aftermarket HS and fan along with artic silver 5 thermal paste and youll be fine. I know that the AMD 3000+ Venice core idles at like 30C which is very cool IMO.

my cpu runs about 55c, is that really bad.

theres no such thing as an Athlon XP 64

the XP series are 32bit K7 generation CPUs.

AMD64's are something entirely different. The latest K8 generation 64bit CPUs

XPs easily ran in the high 40's and 50's

Yeah, my xp 3000+ runs pretty darn hot. Can't leave it running all day.
