**dont care for the story? my question is at the bottom.*
Last month I started to experience problems with my laptop. They where just the “normal” Windows errors that over time snowball into bigger problems... Anyways, I took it upon myself to wipe the hard-drive and install Windows .
Well, the next week I took it in to upgrade from a wireless-B to a G. The guy turns it on and has a come-unglue at me. He is all but screaming at me right in the front of the store! He said: “Windows isn’t as easy to install as clicking ‘next’ ‘next’ ‘next’ like people think. We guarantee our product because WE ‘fix’ the problems, not a silly girl like you!”
He went on and on and nothing he said had any more than 10% truth to it.
Anyways... I will tell you how that whole thing went down if you want but the moral of the story is this: All they do to ‘fix’ a problem is “re-image” the hard drive.
Once I got it back it worked for about 10 seconds then it stopped working. So I took it back again, they “re-re-imaged” the hard drive and it worked for about another week or so...
I am going to take it back again and tell them that I want them to format the hard drive and install Windows normally. But before I do I have a question:
HERE IS MY QUESTION:
Is there a way to tell the difference between: [a formatted hard drive and fresh Windows install] and [just another re-image]?
Please help me!!!
