Is it possible to take the hard-drive from my 32bit computer running XP Pro (FAT32 filing system) and plug it into a 64bit computer as a slave to the primary hard drive running Windows64 (NTFS filing system).

If so would it require a simple 'repair install' to let Windows know where the program is?

You see, im considering buying a high-spec 64bit machine for gaming but reinstalling every application that I use would take forever, and burning all the downloads to CD/DVD for transfer would take too long...

Although, is Windows 64 able to connect in ethernet with XP Pro.. Im assuming it will be designed to to keep it's customers :p

Cheers,
Arrows

Yeah XP 64 connects with XP Home / Pro ect.

You will have to reinstall most of the programs if you switch to x64. Infact if you buy a new computer, you have to reinstall most of the programs regardless of what you do. Most programs put files in the windows folders...
