Tried overclocking, failed, cried

why would it be 3x? Look at his HTL Speed, 1000MHz, x2 = 2000HTT....that's exactly where it should be...as I said it's when it goes ABOVE 250 that it should be 3x.

That's a ridiculously low voltage...it's below stock 1.35......

if you're seeing instability that'd be why

heh my computer ran fine with a 4x above 250 but i decided to lower it to 3x to be safe lol, and im curious as to why the AMD website dont list the 3400s on socket 939....

They dont exist, that's why. But they are here.

definitely not a bad OC charles considering what you're working with...you got a 500MHz just like us except we started at 2GHz and of course a socket 939 venice will definitely outperform a socket 754 newcastle

Hmm... So I'm limited by my stock cooler I suppose...

Alright, so buy lowering my HTT to 4x, I'm limited the access to my ram and I can cause system slowdowns? Then whats the point of overclocking? Sorry then what DOES the HTT do? These are all real n00b questions but I'm so anxious to overclock my venice that I want to make sure I do it right, the guides are all a huge blur to me O_O

So where would I put in the memory divider? Theres a setting in my bios?
