If your settings were indeed set to performance than its just the issue that i was talking about. I KNOW there are settings in winamp that will fix this.. I don't have winamp infront of me right now, but this is exactly what happened to me... I changed the setting in winamp/wmp and it was fine. I promise its there, I do remember that its in a weird place.
