Excel Macros

Hi there,
Trying to support a user, and Im not sure about Macros and excel. Basically, under one user account, the spreadsheet wont open because it points to file locations that she does not have access to. Is there a way to look in Excel and see where all the Macros point to? I did not create the spreadsheet, someone else did. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

You can check the macros through tools/macros. You might also need to set the security level on the macros through options/security/macros. set it to low.

I can seem to get into there, its the same as pressing Alt + F8, but once in there the only buttons that I am able to click are Run and Cancel. Is there a way to look where the Macros listed point to?

Search your clients machine for .vcm's. Macros are embedded C++ into a .vcm file.

They are just basically automated tasks that alters views and interaction with files.
