big difference?

How big of a diffence will there be playing games like half life 2 if i use a Athlon 64 3200+, 6600 TD TDH, 1.5 Gig Ram versus, a Athlon Xp 3000+, 6600 TD TDH, 1.5 Gig Ram?

Agreed with the above statements.

If you are looking to improve how you PC handles games, then look at getting a new vid card.

The CPU and RAM do have something to say about how well you are able to play games, but not nearly as much as you vid card.

i'll take shawns advice and then somehow get enough money for a 6800 Ultra or w/e----can i sell my 6600 GT anywhere?

eVGA and Leadtek are the best, and BFG comes in second.

XFX are one of the worst.

6800GT is the best to get. You can easily overclock it to a 6800Ultra, so theres no point in spending the extra $$ to get a 6800Ultra. I suggest you keep your current setup and get a better vid card (6800GT = ~$300.)
