Get the 2500+ b/c from what I've heard the 2600's multipier can't be changed so it is limited to how much you can overclock. That's what I have in my unfinished comp so I haven't seen what my fsb can oc to. And I am pretty sure that if you were to oc to 400 then you'd need a mobo that would support it. I'm not sure on that though. I'm fairly new to everything.

So will this be good?

looks good to me. I've seen where some people complain about stock hsf but give yours a try and see what happens.

neither...I would wait on the AMD 64, until after the first quarter of this year. If you go to www.newegg.com, I think that you would find a better choice of products, and they usually give no hassel when trying to return them. I built mine for about $562, and this is what I got:

ASUS A7V8X-X Socket A MOBO
Chaintech FX5200 128MB DDR Video
AMD 2600+ Barton Processor
Aspire X-Dreamer II Case w/350W PS
Glacier Heatsink
2 LDE Case Fans (Blue) - W/Case
CDRW 52x32x52
DVD 16X
120 GB 7200 Rpm HD (Samsung)
1.44 MB Floppy
5.1 Intergrated Sound
ONboard LAN 10/100
1 GB PC 2700 DDR RAM - XMS
17" Pioneer Monitor - CRT
56K v.92 Modem
Wireless Keyboard/Mouse combo

You just have to look for the sales that they have to get the best prices. Try www.pricegrabber.com, and look at all the sites' prices. Good luck.

doing the connections yourself isn't all that difficult. I had a small amount of trouble here my first time but it's basically step-by-step in your mobo booklet. And if not there's always help here.
