This is my first AMD build. I have built 4 intel systems in the past all with Abit boards.

Any suggestions? Any conflicting parts? Any cheaper methods?

Seems pretty good, but you forgot power supply and stuff which is VERY important. I hope after 4 PC's that you know not to use the ones that come with the case, expisally in this day and age.

You could get a different motherboard, nothing wrong with it, but for it's price it isnt my first recomendation.

Video card, you defiantly want to look into a 6800GT for that system.

The power supply is the last item listed above. It can also be found at

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817193004

I already have a case, monitor, hard drive, dvd.

The video card listed above has:
Core clock 520MHz
Memory Clock 1080MHz

6800GT has:
Core clock: 350MHz
Memory Clock: 1000MHz
and it costs $40 more.

I am unsure of the power supply listed above.

What mobo do you suggest? Abit boards in my experience are high quality. They use parts built to overclock and therefore provide extened live for normal use.
