That first PC is very nice. Although, I'd do three things.

With the extra $300.00 that you very going to kick in.

1.) Upgrade from that 6600GT to a 6800GT

2.) Spend $25.00 and get a larger HDD. Seagate 250GIG SATA

3.) Pick up a mid-end PSU.

intel P4 = good for simple multi tasking

X2s = good for extreme multi tasking

AMD 64 = good for gaming

intel D = i dunno

amd xp = out of the question

celeron, semperon, etc = nope

So i looked up that monitor.. somepeople say its not that great, what do you say? Also its a 17in, why did you decide to get a 17crt?<==just wondering:)

well im trying to keep the price under 1300 thats the main reason duh. if you want to go over it. i was going to give you a nice samsung 17 in flat panel monitor. but you specifically sasid dont go over 1300
