Will upgrading my sound card from integrated to Creative Labs Sound Blaster 128WE improve my gaming speed or just the sound quality......if it's just the sound quality then screw the soundcard

This depends solely on your CPU speed. Since integrated audio takes CPU cycles just like anything else, having a dedicated soundcard can improve performance on stressed CPUs during gaming situations.

would it improve a 3200 amd xp by much

Simply: No.

If you already have onboard sound that suits your needs, then a soundcard would probably be overkill. An audiphile would need one because soundcard generally have better sound reproduction, but for games youre fine with onboard.

Now if you want better gaming performance and your CPU is top notch like that, you should look at your vid card. What card do you have in your system now?

actually, its the comp im getting.......should i get the

3200 xp with Radeon 9200 128 DDR
or

2800 xp with radeon 9600 XT 128 DDR for

theyre about the same price, but with the 2800 i can get a better vid card and some cool extras (lighting effects and such)

Okay, here one for you.
My sister's ex-BF got a DVD Drive from me last year.
Problem, every time he plays a DVD in it he gets a bit of static in the sound play back.

I have test the DVD drive, and there is not problem there.

We are thinking about changing the sound card over?
