Hey guys... i think one of my ram sticks (256mb), so I took it out. Bootup ram-check only showed 130mb of ram, so I assumed the 256mb died somehow. I had 128mb left. So, I bought a stick of 512mb kingston ram. PC2100. Booted to the point of windows loading and would restart. Took out the 128mb stick. Booted to windows desktop and restarted. Took the 512mb stick back and got a stick of Centon 512mb 2100. Works great for 5 minutes then the computer restarts without warning. I checked BIOS settings and they all looked fine. RAM frequency was set to auto, so I changed it to what it needed to be (266mhz). Did the same thing... booted to windows fine and worked for a couple minutes and rebooted without warning... just an instant black screen and then it boots up again like nothing happened.
WTH is going on?! The computer works fine (but REALLY slow) with just the old 128mb stick in there. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks guys!
