I have a hp pavilion 503w series comp, upgraded memory to 640 and now i am looking for a good video card with about 256, and I was hoping to go for a Nvidia card but my question is would my comp be able to handle one or how can i know what type of card i can get. thanks for the help.

if your mobo has the right slot i dont think there should be a problem. however, you should watch to make sure that the new card does not need power or that you have a spare plug ((molex?)i think its called)----...whatever. point is, make sure you have one

Oh my god. What a..nvm. Anyway, sorry bad news, upgrading video card would be a waste of money, seeing you have a weak processor and some crappy RAM. Without any open slots for video cards too. So I 'd advise you to save up your money and wait till you have enough money to buy a decent, new computer. If you don't know how to build computers, I recommend these three sites:

Thanks guys for the help, I have decided to buy a new comp. This moves me into a new question. My main concern on a comp is gaming, I play eq mostly, some guildwars, I am about to try wow, and a few other games, and since these games continually come out with expansions and about every year or so they revamp their graphics, so what build/brand would afford me the most upgradeable options? Thanks again for the help on my first question.
