Zalman releases an air-cooler CPU cooler with water-cooling perforamce

I've got quite a small case, and I think it just might fit inside it. If it is about the same price as the 7700 I may be placing an order If not for my CPU, but for my room, as it gets hotter and hotter, and it is summer.

I need to replace the thermal compound anyway, as the heatsink was taken off when I was putting it in (had it wrong way round :s) and I just read that there would be air bubbles inbetween the CPU and heatsink. So this and AS5 would do nicely.


This heatsink is alot taller, so remember science class? There will be alot more stress on the motherboard.

It looks nice but it also looks like it may have compatibility problems with motherboards and cases etc due to how tall and wide it is.

Aewsome. The 7700 is 136x136, wont fit my peewee case. That might squeeze in, cool....

According to Zalman, the cooler will be available in US by the end of September and it will be retailed around $80.
