Hey I do some IT work for a production company. They produced a licensed book that looks like a dell computer. The distributor went to a knock off company and they took pictures of a dell notebook and produced a book. The funny part is it has the win xp pro license key on it. Would Microsoft have a problem with this and if so what could the company do.
Thanks

Blur the key and you won't have to worry about it. If the book is produced though with the key and it sells enough copies to get around to good ol' Billy he won't be happy. So just fix it now, so you won't have to take the risk and worry about it later!

MS will come after you.

Smudge out the key however you wish just make sure that area of the picture is destroyed.

also want to make sure you have no labels for dell or any other company showing. Can't display someone elses logo with out their permission.

ok a little more info. We produced the original with dell's permission. Our book does not have a cd key on it. The second one with the cd key was not produced by us. Lets just say it is a competitor undercutting us.

It doesn't matter if it is your cd key or computer. Fact is if you print that "showing the world" that key they will come after you.
