£85 Hd Car Stereo!!!

I've recently bought a H&B CA-5555 stereo for £85 incl postage when I bought it:

It's got a USB port on the front so I bought a 3.5" HD enclosure for £19, a £10 12v regulated car adapter and had an old 20GIG HD lying around.

It can read 200 folder of mp3s and a max of 500 mp3s.

However I want more. So i'm going to see if the stereo will read a number of 1GIG partions on the HD so I can have 200 folders on each partition.

Has anyone got any idea of what specifications (partition/file system) that the stereo would require for this to be possible?

Try a 1GB partition using FAT32. It's worth a shot.

Yeah I made 4 1GB partitions on an old 4.3GB HD i'm testing with but came to test it after a long weekend of my girlfriend saying:

"will stop faffin' with that bloody radio will ya, you can do that when i go home!"

and she's left it in her freeking handbag.

She lives 75 miles away.

got the stereo front back today but the partition didn't work :[

has any1 got any ideas why???????????

Any suggestions on how i could make the stereo read more files/folders?

actually i didn't put an mp3 in each root folder which the stereo requires otherwise it will not read the folder. i'll go try now.
