You can't because there isn't.

Edit: for clarificatiohn

You: You can download a windows OS cd from the internet
Me: No you can't
You: Yes you can
Me: Find me a MS statment or sentance in the EULA saying you can
You: I will not
Me: You can't because it doesn't exist in the EULA or MS statment. No Permission

I just emailed the person and he said it is a Dell restore CD. Does that matter?
I have an XP CD - thats no problem. The problem is the Key. Will a Dell branded key work for a standard install?

This is a different matter, Dell upgrade is not good. I have no idea if that cd key will work with other cd's. If it was a proper version, it would work fine

there isnt what?

A corporate edition?

Entering a specially crafted Volume License Key (VLK) into a copy of Windows XP Professional disables Windows Product Activation entirely. Copies of Windows XP Professional with WPA disabled through the use of a VLK are commonly referred to as "Windows XP Corporate Edition".

Please everyone knows there is a corporate.

I dont care that im not allowed to download it of the net.

I paid for a legit cd key. Thats what actually matters, the cd doesnt do anything. Product activation doesnt stop people copying the CD's but it stops people using the same cd keys.

The cd key is what matters.

It says its a full version, NOT an upgrade. But it is a restore disk. All I want is a legit key. I'm not paying $199.00 for XP Pro.

if its a full cd key, it will work with any copy of xp.

it its a dorky dell cd key (if they exist) it will work with only the dell cd.

If its a normal xp cd key it will work.

that is what I have to determine is there is some sort of Dell CD key.

OEM cd keys supposedly will NOT work with retail. At least, thats what almost all tech sites say. OEM keys for OEM specific, and retail keys for retail. As far as it being legal if you use another key, it is NOT legal. It is considered illegal because it is a copy being distributed. The common mistake is that you are technically buying the liscense to run the software. While this is true, the EULA also prohibits the copying and distribution of the SOFTWARE, it does not say anything of the liscense. So, in essence you do pay for the liscense, but as part of the agreement you are not supposed to copy (except for ONE backup copy for yourself) and are not supposed to distribute said software (even though you both have a legitimate key). However, I don't think they would be after someone like you who legitimately has their own key. It would also be hard to bust you for this as they would have to get you in the act of copying and distributing the software and even then I'm sure there would be leniency when it was discovered both parties had legitimate keys.

My question is would tis Dell OEM key work for a standard install disk? All I really want is a legit key. I'm tired of downloading all tese cracks for cracks and keygens... I've ad it. I wasted so muc of my time over te years and its getting arder and arder. I can afford $65.
