registerd or non registerd

It's not the CPU wich requires registered or non-registered memory. It's the mobo. Since the P4 is not a server CPU there will most likely not be many motherboards for it that use registered memory.

Newer non server motherboards occasionally support ECC ram.

If I am correct, any socket 939 should support ECC ram. This is an educated guess though :p
