How can you lock your printer so if somebody wants to print they have to put in a password or some kind of restriction where you are the only one that can print.

If you use Windows XP Pro, you are able to set permissions onto the printer so that only certain users or groups are able to print with it.

To set permissions on a printer:

Click Start >Click Printers and Faxes>Right-click printer of choice>Select Properties from the drop down menu>Select the Security Tab.

THis should bring you to a place that you can then select users or groups that you can limit printer usage
