mouse keeps jumpin around

hello,
sometimes my mouse will automatically jump to a corner of the screen by itself. if anyone can tell me how to fix this, itd be great

(btw, im sure its not the mouse cause i just got a new one)

if it's a cheap ass mouse then those things will happen....my $8 mouse does that occasionally

its a $30 usb optical mouse w/ wires

but i dont think its the mouse cause my old one had problems too

Hmm don't know...like said mine does the same thing....in a split second the cursor will be at the other side of the screen, but mines PS/2...can't stand USB mice

is it the one that's USB by default, but then has a PS/2 convertor or vice versa?

Give me the good ole fashioned straight PS/2 anyday

My logitech optical mouse used to do that that all the time on my old computer. It doesn't do it anymore on my new computer that I have noticed. I'm not sure if its just coincidence or not, but on my old computer I used a USB-to-PS/2 adapter, and now I just run it right to the USB port.

it happens with my wireless mouse to, and wile im playing a FPS, i look straight up and spin around in circles.
