I thought about piecing together one for you but I'm to damn lazy to do the research. Sorry.
I don't usually do this but I going to recomend buying a Dell XPS 600 its the newest gaming system from Dell. You can get one with a Pentium 4 and SLI is supported. I'm assuming you are from the UK since some of the sites you linked to were from the UK. So heres a link to Dell's UK site.......

Building a computer takes alot of research and you must know what you are buying before you buy it. Or else you will be left with a very expensive paper weight.

Hmmm...you dont know about Dells? Overpriced, upgradabilty issues, poor customer service, crappy parts..etc...

Do not rec a dell, even to a so-called "noob".

I would gladly put together a system. Would you consider newegg over tigerdirect? Also, thomas, small, local computer shops offer good service, parts, compared to premade systems. Maybe thats an option in your area. We can give u a list of what to buy.


Edit/ Lets start over thomas. Whats the computer going to be used for? Do you need mouse, keyboard, speakers, operating system and monitor? I know u have a $1500 budget.

Will everthing fit in the case i have chosen. Is the power supply right? Have i made a mistake on the disk drives, are they external not internaly inside the pc(I WANT THEM TO BE INSIDE THE PC)?

Thomas, to be honest you are asking way too many questions. Just curious, how old are you? You need to spend some more time researching, reading and learning about computers before asking so many questions. Where you are right now I would not recommend you build one yourself. Go to a local computer shop in england and tell them your budget and what u want to do with it. Otherwise I would suggest Monarchcomputers.com for ALL your items, get them to build it, then go to checkout to see what the shipping costs are to england.

You do realize u listed a $900 processor there, right? Yes that would be fine.

Also for hard drives go with a sata over a ide, they are a little faster. get 16mb cache if possible or 8mb.

I've just start year 10 and i know vb, html and learning assembly code, c and matlab. I going to make a new pc because my laptop (LATITUDE D500) is only pentium M and 256mb 18.6gb which is not to great. It runs pretty slow at program such as Microsoft Visual Studio 8 and games. It has a pretty crap gcard and processor (1300mhz). I have got a basic knowlegde on how to construct a pc now, understanding what ports and speeds you need to consider. i have looked around, and the post before this i posted all the stuff so far i found. Unforantly newegg wont ship mobo to England so going to buy a mag and order stuff from there. The case is more than likely going to be expensive to ship from US so im going to have to change once again. Im gona get a SATA Hd Beta RAM and different case and mobo.

I do know all to well the downsides of a Dell, I had a Dell that turned into a massive headache. However Thomas doesn't strike me as the constant upgrader, tweaker, modder and/or OCing type. If you don't fit into the above stated classes then Dells are really your best option. Has a warranty and they come completely assembled. Not to mention no research time needed, spend some time at Dell's web site to configure it and your done.

Ok, we are on the same level, but; there are lots of other PREBUILT systems, much better than dells!!!
