Problems reformatting

thanks for the help guys.

I decided to buy him a new hard drive, I got a 120 GB WD hard drive for him, its $40 after rebates and he's a good friend so I just figured I'd rather do that than spend hours and hours and hours on his current hard drive trying to reformat it.
