ISO Images

I downloaded Unbuntu, a 600MB ISO file.

Will the Windows XP Pro burning software correctly burn an ISO image to a cd?

Use Nero or Roxio. I dont think XP will recognize the file as an .iso

If you download an app called daemon tools, you can simply mount the .ISO within daemon tools and it will look like a disk or drive. You can simply copy that "Disk" or "Drive" within roxio or nero. I know that Nero will do it b/c i have used it with ISO's before.

alcohol is the best software for handling .iso files. it also handles clonecd(ccd), instant copy (pdi), CDRwin (cue) and almost any other image file.

you can mount 31 virtual drives at the same time with it too.

if you have winrar, just right click the file and select "extract here"

iso buster is my fav. just exstract the iso to a dir and install. Then delete the exstracted dir when finished. Im not one to have piles of mounted drives on my machine. Ill keep it simple if I can

that's for the gamer. he can mount 31 games and put all of his game cds on the shelf. another benefit is the games move way faster mounted
