I am using a Dell laptop and Windows XP. I have Outlook Express installed, and it was working great with one identity.
I am using a Bell South DSL cable connection to the laptop.

When I tried to add another identity, I found that I could not receive e-mail (to my laptop / Outlook) for that other identity !!!

I am all set-up with Bell South for all of my e-mail addresses. That is, on my desktop I can receive e-mails with five identities added to the Outlook program. (My desktop uses Win 98SE.)

Can anyone guide me through this set-up ??? All I want to do is to be able to receive e-mail on only two identities (two different e-mail addresses).

Thank you. Please help.

I think your problem might be the actual type of connection the profile is attempting to use, your on DSL or LAN so go into account properties and under the connection tab check "always connect to this account using" and in the drop down box chooce LAN
