hey all
the specs in my sig are my current specs.
i was wondering ur opinions on if it would be wise to buy a new mobo. with DDR2 ram out now and my mobo only having 2xDDR 2700 slots i was thinking about buying a new mobo before buying ram or upgrading processor.

ps: can anyone suggest a good mobo(newegg) with like DDR2 slots and that supports my 6600GT. dont worry about pricerange too much(obviously not 1 million $)

so you want to continue using that processor for a while?? that will limit your options for a ddr2 mboard. what is your budget, you may be better off just upgrading to 1 gb ram with your current system....

heres a ddr2 mboard, upgradable to a prescott, and only supprts ddr2 533, not 667 or 800....

I agree with vaderpro. Its not very wise to upgrade your pc in the way you want. Better wait and then upgrade more parts of your pc.

whats your budget right now??

honestly it would probably be best to go for a full upgrade except video cad/hd....if you can afford it.

im only 14 but have a job so im think i just save up. wat u have listed totals AU$800, i wouldnt want to pay much more than that though. ill look around for a while thanx for the help

If you want to get a board with DDR2 you will have to upgrade your cpu too,I'm pretty sure DDR2 only fit's and work's with the socket 775 intel's
