I'll build you a computer for free, it'll run better than Dell and Alienware, and it'll be neat and clean. I'm sure you're probably not crazy about sending me 2500 dollars tho, haha. Think about it, if you don't want to do it yourself.

If you arent willing to build one, Im sure someone else would consult with you to build you a PC to your needs.

But how can I make sure my money is being put to good use? I'm skeptical about giving people i dont know money. Anyone know of some book I could about that talks about how to build computers?

This is a great website to consult:

And here's another one just in case:

You've got to remember, if you consult a book, then it will most likely be out of date. Even a book written last year will be out of date as technology like SLi has come into the scene. So your best of consulting a website that can update regularly, or if you get stuck, just ask one of us lovely people :)

Here's a really nice system from monarchcomputers i put together for you. The site is a bit confusing but they have great prices and can build it for you. Building it yourself could take a day or 2 or more if you run into problems, but yes building it yourself would save a little money. You have a decent budget so try out these guys, they only use quality parts. The forum techies here can add or change anything to this as necessary:

wow thats expensive, i think you should build your own, maybe cause of the warranty and labor, but that looks really good if you have the money, i wish i had 2500 dollars

Hey vaderpro, I just had a quick look on Newegg, and well here is what I came to:

http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Shopping/Shoppingcart.asp?DEPA=0&submit=view

Three problems:

1. They didn't have an Antec True Power 2 550W, so I went with the OCZ Powerstream 520W (roughly the same)
2. They didn't have the speakers you listed, so I went with some of the same spec
3. They didn't seem to have the Nero Ahead 6.3 Suite.

As you can see, you get all that for more money. Compare that to Maonarch Computers, and it's an easy decision to make. Monarch Computers win out easy as it's cheaper, the PC comes built, and you get a 6 month warranty with it.

Hope that helps!
