Hi:

How can you do to install another OS on the computer.
Let's say you have XP and you want to install Linux too, so you can use both.

Thanks

you can, Ive never done it or know how to but u need to make a new partition and install the new OS on it. at start up you will then get a choice of which to start up in.

But thats all I know.

Most Linux distros come with a very good partition tool (usually called LILO). Just boot from the install CD and follow the prompts. You have to install Linux on a separate partition from Windows.

Some would consider this risky though so you may want to manually create another partition and then install Linux.

If I were you, I would use partitioning software . Actually I did the similar thing, but I install another Windows.
So, first of all you'd better, using partition program, create new partition (primary, active). Don't forget to activate OS selector.
Now you could safely install Linux, by the way this software supports it too.
I must say it was very easy for me, that's way I recommend it you.

Good luck!
